Getting Started​

Welcome to the Deritrade APIs Overview. To get started, please review our available APIs and determine which ones best suit your needs. If you haven't already, we recommend scheduling a call with our team to receive advice and recommendations.

Available APIs:​

  • Instrument Data API. This API gives access to our reference data. It currently has the following:
    • Instruments/Financial products
  • Quoting and Trading API. Allows clients to quote and trade structured notes and OTC derivatives.

What you'll need​

Authorisation (per API)​

To use our APIs, you'll need API keys for all environments, which can be obtained by emailing: supportfpdataservice@vontobel.com.

Testing connectivity​

We recommend using Postman or a similar API testing tool to call the chosen API in ACPT and test connectivity. Once you've completed these steps, you're ready to start building against the Deritrade APIs. Please refer to our documentation and OpenAPI references for assistance, and don't hesitate to reach out to us for further support or code samples.
